The Luedtke Engineering Companies steam Derrick Boat #12 arrives in tow of the tug Chris E. Luedtke. Steel “spuds” are lowered to keep the derrick boat in place at the worksite. A clamshell bucket is used to “clear the drive line” (where the steel seawall will be placed). Debris being removed from the driveline includes slab lumber from the logging days.
