Volunteering
A great way to assist the project, have fun, meet people and learn new skills is to volunteer! Even if you are not presently a member, it is a great way to get involved. All you need to do is request an application and give us a idea of your interests and/or skill areas. It is extremely satisfying caring for a national treasure, knowing so many people and generations will benefit from your work. "A great purpose of a life is to spend it on something that outlasts it."
If you are presently not a member, you may volunteer hours to earn a membership. By volunteering a minimum number of hours (youths age 9 to 17: 10 hours; adults: 40 hours) you can receive member status. You can also volunteer hours to qualify for lodging and special benefits aboard the vessel.
