The ship...

Manistee's Ghost Ship is Michigan’s most awesome haunted house, set onboard the historic 1931 carferry, S.S. City of Milwaukee. Navigate through 4-5 hair-raising decks of this 360-foot-long vessel, each featuring a unique theme designed to terrify. Encounter live actors, eerie props, animatronics, pneumatics, flashing lights, custom SFX, and authentic ghosts that will make your blood run cold.

Face your fears as you journey through creepy clowns, crawling spiders, haunted forests, gore-soaked scenes, graveyards, creepy dolls, eerie hospitals, impenetrable darkness, and malevolent demons.

Every year brings a new nightmare! We never repeat the same sets or paths, ensuring a fresh and thrilling experience with each visit. Are you ready to brave Manistee's Ghost Ship?

Reviews...

From Last year:

"My boyfriend and I went on the 26th and had a riot. We bought fast pass tickets online before hand which was convenient for 2 reasons. We skipped about 45 minutes of waiting for $15 more. I added them to my Apple wallet and they scanned easily. Aside from my love for this ship, the creative use of this space and how actually scary it was, was so much fun. Just when I thought it was over we were led to another staircase to go up and another level of haunts. Tight spaces, good timing of jump scares and different physical and special effects made this so special. We had such a blast. They also open the ship we were told in the spring for a bed and breakfast that we will be back for, until next October 😉🧡🎃🤙🏼. Maybe the best haunted attraction I've been to in Michigan." - N/A

"Went for the first time in 2023, absolutely love it. The beautiful boat all decked up for Halloween? What’s not to love? Great haunt! Highly recommend!! Went again just 2 weeks ago, I loved it just as much, again highly recommend!!!" - Calan Traux

"Loved it! We bought the fast passes and honestly, still cheaper than other venues like this. Totally worth it. Lots of jump scares, and actors to heighten your experience. Props to the guy in the apron! I don't want to say to much." - Breena Dubuque

"Totally one of the best haunted attractions in Michigan, an absolute must visit. I recommend it to everyone. Can’t wait till next year to see what’s new." - N/A

"Awesome haunted attraction! Set up and executed very well, scare actors do an excellent job! Definitely recommend!!" - Shannon R.

"Went as a girls night, we screamed, laughed, maybe peed a little, lol...staff was wonderful entertaining and we really enjoyed the experience. Small spaces, be warned!" - N/A

Safety Warning:

Welcome to one of the most intense haunted experiences you’ll encounter — set aboard an actual historic vessel. The ship was originally built for maritime use and includes unavoidable structural hazards you may not expect in a haunted attraction.

Expect to encounter:

  • Extremely steep stairs and high steps

  • Narrow and confined passageways

  • Low ceilings and head clearance

  • Uneven surfaces, tripping hazards, and abrupt level changes

  • Loud and sudden audio effects

  • Fog, scent, and lighting effects including strobe lights

  • Complete darkness in some areas

  • Startling live actors, animatronics, and interactive theatrical elements

If you have a medical, physical, or emotional condition that could be triggered or worsened by this environment, do NOT enter. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Heart conditions

  • Asthma or respiratory conditions

  • Claustrophobia

  • Seizure disorders or light sensitivity

  • Recent surgeries or mobility limitations

  • Pregnancy

You must be physically and mentally capable of navigating steep stairs and confined areas. If you cannot do so safely, you will not be permitted to enter.

  • The attraction may not be appropriate for all children or individuals sensitive to intense themes or environments.

  • Due to the historic structure of the ship, the attraction is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

If you cause damage, harass guests or performers, or violate these rules, you will be immediately removed. Police will be contacted if necessary. This attraction reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone.

Assumption of risk:

By purchasing a ticket and entering the haunted attraction, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

You understand and accept that:

  • This is a high-intensity, theatrical experience designed to frighten, disorient, and startle

  • You may be exposed to unexpected effects including fog, loud sounds, strobe lights, darkness, and sudden physical proximity to performers

  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation, including potential injury, emotional distress, or loss of personal items

You agree to release:

The attraction, its owners, operators, staff, volunteers, contractors, affiliates, and other guests from any and all liability, including claims related to:

  • Personal injury or medical episodes

  • Property damage or loss

  • Accidental contact with performers or props

Security cameras are active throughout the premises. By entering, you consent to being recorded for safety, monitoring, and promotional purposes. You waive any claim to compensation for the use of video or images captured during your visit.

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK

This is not your average haunted house. You are entering a retired Lake Michigan railroad car ferry that now houses something… unnatural. By entering, you are fully accepting all risks, rules, and consequences.

You have been warned.
